Commission: "Handy, Cute, Deadly" Patch (Detailed)

An embroidered patch done by client request. It features a drawing of an M1 Carbine accompanied by its technical nomenclature as dictated by the US government during WW2. The client also wanted Handy, Cute, and Deadly along the bottom. The M1 Carbine was a workhorse, but I think it may have contributed the US' reluctance to accept the concept of intermediate cartridges for primary small arms. The Soviets and British were quick to work on rounds similar to the 7.92 Kurz being used in the STG44, but the United States really believed in the 7.62 NATO cartridge. A shame.
