About Class Date: March 22, 2025  Time: 9am- 4pm This 1-day introductory class will provide instruction on the terminology andtechniques that any knitter with an understanding of basic knitting techniques (knit,purl, cast on, cast off) needs to begin creating Shetland Lace.Shetland Lace produces delicate masterpieces that have been prized for centuries.While the lovely final products often look like other worldly talent has created them,in fact any knitter already comfortable with basic knit and purl stitches can begintheir journey to creating beautiful pieces. During our time together we will discuss how to read lace charts, constructing thestitches used to make lace, the structure of different traditional lace garments,different design elements, and finishing your lace.
