Colombia Antioquia Finca San Gabriel

This coffee comes to us from a third generation coffee producer named Carolina Posada from the Antioquia region of Colombia. Her coffee lineage began with her grandfather, Mario. He owned a small farm in a town in Antioquia called Concordia. In 1960, he was murdered in an attempt to steal his coffee. Margarita, Carolina'sgrandmother, was left pregnant and raising seven children. These weredifficult times for her in the countryside, so she decided to move to the city insearch for better opportunities. Her father was the only one among his siblings to continue the tradition ofgrowing coffee. Thankfully Carolina carries on the tradition of her ancestors and has made this delicious coffee available to us. She is a pleasure to work with, and her coffee is very vibrant, sweet and full of complex acidity and delicious flavors.
