The Western Cleaver design is meant to allow traditional cleaving as well as extra slicing and piercing options that square tipped cleavers don’t provide. The blade profile ground in a rounded sabre. This gives the durability and cutting consistency of the sabre grind while rounding off the hard edges at the second bevel allowing for easier slicing.
