Conomurex luhuanus, commonly known as the strawberry conch or tiger conch, is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Strombidae, the true conchs. C. luhuanus is found in sandy habitat among corals in the Indopacific region. Great reef addition! The diet of the Conomurex luhuanus, or strawberry conch, consists of algae, detritus and cyanobacteria. making it an effective algae and detritus-eating scavenger. It uses a long, snout-like mouth called a proboscis to graze on and sift through sand and other surfaces for food. In aquariums, they may also eat leftover fish flakes or other supplemental foods.
