They are a great member to any clean up crew and are known for eating cyanobacteria and green hair algae as we as any leftover food in the aquarium.  They may have trouble righting themselves if accidentally flipped over.   If you see them on their "backs", give them a flip and they should be good to go.   It is best to provide the Halloween Hermit Crab with empty conical shaped shells in case it grows to big for it's own.  They have been known to attack and kill snails for their shells.  We re
