Replacing the UV lamp & quartz sleeve once per year helps to keep your UV sterilizer running like new. All lamps over time will start to degrade and the amount of light output will become lower than a new lamp. We suggest changing the lamp out once per year along with the quartz sleeve as the quartz sleeve can become cloudy and coated with mineral deposits over time decreasing the effectiveness of the UV lamp.
