Tascam MS-16

Tascam MS-16 was one of if not the best 1 inch studio grade tape recorder built. This unit has been fully repaired, heads relapped, has the noise reduction units as well as auto located and remote. Comes with the new RTM SM 911 used to calibrate the deck, take up reel and stand.  repair notes:  repaired broken switches on autolocator replaced caps / repaired broken solder joints in autolocator PSU (autolocator intermittent when hot) reinstalled relapped heads by JRF Magnetics  replaced dampening foam on pinch roller lever replaced dampening O-ring on pinch roller solenoid  rotated tape guides to present unworn surface replaced all relays on all amp cards, cleaned connectors  fixed tape path (capstan motor had mounting screw loose, skewing)  aligned reel table height  full tape path alignment  set p/r pressure fixed broken transport ctl buttons  EDIT lamp intermittently on when not in EDIT mode - fixed frayed / damaged wiring to transport ctl panel    aligned input levels / VU meters
