I was indeed bitten by the tape deck bug and i'll be sick for the rest of my life! I am selling my one of a kind Technics 1506, fully restored inside and out by Alex Dorin, founder of Alter Ego Appearance. I have used this deck for approximately 20 hours so will last you an incredibly long time. From power supply to pre-amp this entire deck has been recapped and restored, please see complete description below." Michael P.    REEL MOTORS Reel motors totally disassembled. Plastic tridents, which are a subject to break easily, are replaced with metal tridents made from non-magnetic aluminum bronze. Bronze bearings inside motors cleaned, filled with lubricant. Brake drums removed from the shaft, old paint stripped. Repainted with glossy hard scratch resistant high temp paint. Quality of this paint is crucial for proper brakes.
