To secure an item in the holder; it has 3 set screws to evenly tighten in a triangular pattern to secure most objects from a minimum of 1/8" up to a maximum of 1/2" in diameter. Includes an Allen wrench. Do not over-tighten. Weighs approximately 7 ounces. Both ends are open. Overall diameter is 1"-1 1/8" (3 cm). Length is approximately 5" (13.5 cm).
