What's funny is that ever since then there has been a fair degree of confusion behind the origins of the graphic (unfortunately so in some extreme cases). I've never been very good at explaining such things, but maybe even worse so in this particular case because the story didn't exactly pertain to Mike. You see, I wasn't having an easy time coming up with a graphic for him back then. Everything I was throwing at the wall wasn't landing with George [Powell], who had the iron fist when it came to green lighting anything coming out of the art department. In and around that time of struggle, George suggested I go to the library and rummage around the art history aisle for inspiration.
