Dakin's Antimicrobial Wound Cleanser

Century's Dakin's Solution, which is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, available in Di-Dak-Sol® (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.0125%), Quarter Strength (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.125%), Half Strength (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.25%), and Full Strength (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.50%) versions. Dakin's Solution is effective against resistant strains like MRSA and VRE, pressure ulcers with necrotic wounds, as well as viruses, bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and molds. Dakin's Solution is buffered, meaning its shelf life is increased. Buffering is the technique of adding salt of a weak base or weak acid to a solution to make it resistant to pH change.
