The snake and the moon both share common symbolism: transformation and renewal. The snake above sheds its skin to reveal a renewed set of scales underneath, similar to the moon’s waxing and waning. The pair of snakes allude to the ouroboros, balancing the delicate veil between opposites: sleep and wake, life and death.These pendants are made of solid sterling silver that has been oxidized to show detail. Each pendant comes with a solid sterling silver (.925) chain with a clasp closure.The medium pendant comes with your choice of a 16", 18", or 20" chain.Due to the handmade nature of these jewels, there may be very slight variations which is a result of the handmade process.
