This is the new style high security key for the Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. This key uses the 46+ Philips Encrypted chip. These keys are onboard programmable. First have a local automotive locksmith cut the key to work your vehicle. Then use the procedure below to program the vehicle to start with the new key. If you have one working transponder key: 1. Switch ignition to ON with master key. 2. Switch ignition to OFF and remove key. 3. Within 10 seconds insert new key. 4. Switch ignition to ON. New key should now be programmed. If you have no working transponder key: 1. Make sure the vehicle’s battery is fully charged. Put key in ignition and crank engine for a fraction of a second and leave the key in the ON position for exactly 10 minutes. 2. Turn OFF and remove key. 3.
