Red Japanese sweet potatoes, also known as Murasake, have dark red skin and pale yellow to white sweet flesh. They have a lower moisture content than other varieties, giving them a light and fluffy consistency and are known for their distinctive chestnut-like nutty sweet flavor.  In Japan, these specialty sweet potatoes are the preferred variety for crispy tempura or simply steamed with minimal ingredients. Enjoy Red Japanese sliced and air-fried, baked or quickly microwaved for a quick snack. They are the perfect choice for easy, delicious and healthy meals. This adaptable variety can take less than optimum conditions and has good disease resistance.  Sold in sets of 12 plants. Ready to harvest in approximately 90-105 days.
