This mid-1960s Keystone Super-8 film camera was gutted to make room for wiring and two spiral Edison-style LED bulbs, giving it a retrofuturistic vibe. Is this an old movie camera or a Buck Rogers ray gun? We removed the lenses and the focus ring now houses a standard (E26) base socket. The viewfinder was replaced with a candelabra (E12) socket, artfully recreated to look like the original. We love the look of these amber spiral LEDs, which are included, but you can use any bulbs (up to 60 watts) with the proper size bases. The camera trigger has been rewired with a 3-way lamp switch, so you can press it to light only the top bulb, only the bottom bulb, or both (or neither, of course). To complete the theme, the camera is mounted to an 8mm film canister, which is weighted to give the lamp a solid base. The lamp has a vintage-looking (but new) 6-foot-long cord and polarized plug.
