A wonderful pair of Jewish brothers dog tags from WWII. Excellent condition. One brother (Maj. Jacob B. Sureck) was stationed in Washington D.C. and served in the Air Transport Command. The other brother (Lt. Col. Philip Sureck) was a practicing attorney when he entered the service. He was posted as an counter-intelligence (G2) officer in Sicily in advance of the 1st Infantry Division invasion. Later became Army trial Judge Advocate. He redeployed with the "Big Red One" for the D-Day landing in Northern France. Copies of several wartime news articles and obituaries of both brothers will be provided.
