This product ships 5 to 7 business days This shirt was inspired by the first Juneteenth EVER and the feeling of joy the Texas slaves felt in finding out they were finally free, 30 months after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed. Most historical accounts show that some of the first Juneteenth Celebrations happened some time after 1865 because it did take more time for the news to spread across Texas. However, it did not take much time for the former slaves to realize how much work would still need to be done to achieve true equality in the United States, but Juneteenth represented the beginning and that was well worth celebrating. This particular design is inspired by the freedom we attained and are still looking to gain in so many ways. I wanted something that exuded our joy and showed us dressed in our best sense one of slavery's ways of dehumanizing us was making sure even our clothing did not reflect excellence.
