The Calico

  On November 1st, we bid a poignant farewell to our cherished mascot at Resting Kitty Candles. Phantom, our beloved calico adorned with a distinctive "mask," graced our lives for an incredible 18 years. Living a full and enriching life with us and numerous other fur babies, she left an indelible mark on our hearts. Born the year of the U.S. release of "The Phantom of the Opera", her name became a fitting tribute to her unique charm. We believe that Phantom came to us through a wish our daughter Jessica (Jessycat) had made when she was a senior in high school. "We were always meant to be. My beautiful Phantom, born specially for me. I asked the universe for a cat with a split-colored face so that I could name them Phantom.
