TI's headquarters are in Dallas, Texas, United States. Jack Kilby (the named inventor on this patent) was an employee at TI's Central Research Labs. He invented the integrated circuit in 1958 and successfully demonstrated the world's first working integrated circuit on September 12, 1958. The patent titled 'Miniature Electronic Calculator' was filed on the 21st of December, 1972. The product is described as a "Binary-coded decimal electronic calculator capable of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with some degree of automatic decimal point placement to provide a visual display of answers of up to 12 decimal digits."
