See details here See my story on CNN/Great Big Story here DESCRIPTION: RARE tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by Philco in 1961 timeframe in excellent+ working condition. Factory painted metallic blue grill! Metallic paints were rare in the early 60s because it was expensive. This color reminds me of a 1966-67 Pontiac GTO in Tyrol Blue Metallic. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The radios of this period mimic the cars with contrasting colors, oblique angles, and metal trim. This radio was cared for and maintained throughout its life. This radio is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing plastic.  No modifications, repaints, or repairs to cabinet.
