Display Box Art - "That Elway Magic"

This 12" x 12" pop art piece features colorful graphics from 1980 and 1987 Topps football card wax boxes. The multi-directional composition is cut from actual wax boxes and assembled as a one-of-a-kind configuration adhered to a wooden panel. John Elway represents 1980s football with his 1987 box bottom card. The logo-less helmets of the 1980 box graphics remind us of a time when helmets were airbrushed blank in the Topps sets. The panel's edges are covered with strips of football cards from the1980 Topps set.
