Los Planes is named for the large flat area at the top of the mountain with a spectacular panoramic view. Victelio fertilizes his farm naturally, and makes organic compost from coffee pulp. Using fermentation and drying facilities on his farm, Victelio knows how to care for his coffee and environment—for example, installing sedimentation pits and natural filters to clean residual water from coffee processing.
