Nintendo is a very old company and was created in 1889. Yes, 1889! It all started out as a small Japanese company, founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi as Nintendo Koppai.  Based in Kyoto, Japan, the business produced and marketed Hanafuda cards. Later on, in 1953, they started producing playing cards… To honor their first business, Nintendo created cards to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series.
