Zebrawood Desk by Peter Protzman for Herman Miller
This Mid-Century Modern gem has been lovingly restored and brought back to life with great care. See Close-Up Video Here Originally produced between 1970-71 by Herman Miller and designed by Peter Protzman. Offering absolutely incredible visuals from all angles. From the polished stainless steel legs, to the "zebrawood" pattern and semi-transparent lucite file drawers, this piece exudes the beauty of functional art in all its fullness. This has undergone careful repairs to the original veneer and stainless steel legs. Wood has been finished in a satin sheen using a low VOC Water bourne coating imported from Italy and offers the benefit of a long lasting durable finish and easy maintenance. To honor the history of the piece, I chose to polish the steel while leaving the minor pitting in tact on the subsurface. Beautiful Patina. This is most notable on the lower portion of the right leg (See photo). The Lucite sides of the drawers have been polished. They still show some signs of wear
