Sea Smoke Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills California, 2022, 750 From the Winery: Winemaking: Our estate-grown Chardonnay fruit was pickedand hand-sorted in the vineyard before spending the night in ourcold room. Chilled grapes were softly pressed and the juice wasgently pumped into a stainless steel tank and cold settled. Once theheavy solids were removed, the juice was racked to a stainlesssteel fermenter, then inoculated for primary fermentation. Followingprimary fermentation, the wine was racked to barrels, inoculatedfor malolactic fermentation, then periodically stirred to enhancedepth and mouthfeel. The 2022 Sea Smoke Chardonnay was agedfor a total of 10 months prior to bottling with no finingand no filtration. Character: An elegant Chardonnay with aromas of lemon curd,star fruit, fresh cut peach and wet stone. Complemented by satsumamandarins and a touch of hazelnut in the focused mid-palate and therefreshing cool climate acidity of our estate vineyard.
