Everest Bloodstone

Watercolor print of Mount Everest, in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalaya. Mount Everest, it's sky-piercing peak glowing against the cool glaciers below. I used a pigment called "Bloodstone" in this painting. Bloodstone is a cryptocrystalline mixture of quartz. In ancient times, it signified vitality and strength as well as passion and courage and its virtues are protective and nurturing. I like to think those qualities are imbued in the art.  Printed on high-quality, smooth cotton paper (Hahnemühle Photo Rag) with a torn deckled edge. The deckled edge, signature, and smooth cream cotton paper make the print feel very close to the original. ~ Please note that the measurements for this print specifically **INCLUDE* the border. For example, with the 20" x 12" print, the actual image is 17.5" x 9".
