It's design allows athletes to hit and drive it like a tackle bag, but roll, twist, and lift it like a hit shield. It's appearance resembles a player in a strong body position over the top of a ball at a ruck. This forces players arriving at the contact area to do whatever it takes to remove the threat. Players can make contact with the bag and drive it back or to a side, pull the bag back over the ruck towards them, or 'gator' roll the bag to the left or right. The gap between the arms and body of the bag make it suitable for the coach to place a ball which is revealed upon moving the bag out of the contact area.
