Annual. Phaseolus acutifolius 30 seeds per packet. A traditional food of Indigenous Americans living in the desert southwest, Tepary beans are typically not grown in the PNW due to our difference in climate and soil. However, this variety seems to do well and perform reliably here and yields loads of small flat golden brown beans that are delicious cooked just like regular beans. Plants only grow 2 feet tall and can benefit from a small trellis, but don't need a tall trellis like typical pole beans. Very drought tolerant and a great option for those interested in dry farming. Nitrogen fixing, like all beans.
