During the period from 1880 to 1910, several Chinatowns across the United States were deliberately burned to the ground as part of violent anti-Chinese campaigns. These devastating events were rooted in intense racial hatred and economic resentment during a period of severe discrimination against Chinese immigrants. Exhibited at the Chinese American Museum of Chicago 2025. Medium: Charcoal on kraft paper. Dimensions: 24" X 36".
