This PicoLoader is a ODE (optical drive emulator) based mod chip for Gamecube to boot homebrew.  It works similarly to PicoBoot but uses the DVD drive interface rather than soldering to the IPL.  It also allows full functionality of the DVD to be retained by the console.   It can be configured to boot directly to the Swiss homebrew .dol file.  Swiss has many functions, but will also allow playing out of region discs.   Follow the instructions carefully pertaining to the preparation and seating of the flex cable in the drive connector.  If the cable is torn or sits unevenly, it can be damaged or not boot correctly.
