The bezel was soldered to a thick backing of 1.2 millimters, which was attached by soldering to a carved silver shank which I designed and hadmade in advance.ONE OF A KIND ring.Opal is the birthstone for those of us who were born in October or under the signs of Scorpio and Libra.
