Online Video: GRIP STRENGTH and DEXTERITY
It’s no wonder our speed club leaders in each grade also lead the grip strength challenge for their age group. There is a direct correlation between how strong a pitcher is and how hard she can throw the ball. The stronger her fingers, the more force she can apply into the ball at release. Using a dynamometer, we get a baseline grip strength measurement. We retest in later lessons. As the grip strength numbers go up, so does the speed! Benefits of the many exercises in this 40-minute video include improved strength, increased range of motion, coordination, dexterity, and increased blood flow. Grip better, pitch better.
