Large, long antique corozo or tagua nut bead belt rosary souvenir of a pilgrimage to Lourdes France. The corozo or tagua nut is native to South America. Provenance: Lourdes, France. Circa 1920's. Lourdes was known for having had a history of apparitions of a woman, thought to be the Virgin Mary. Sets of 10 oval matched corozo / tagua beads with a total of 63 oval beads and 7 exquisitely carved round beads. held together with wire loops. Perfect to take apart for jewelry designs or hang on your wall. 84 inches of beads, with long dangle including crucifix measuring another 14 inches.Oval beads measure 24x13 to 27x14mm. Carved beads measure 18-19mm each.
