MAIDEN - Merino/Nylon Sock - Fingering Weight

  MAIDEN is our custom milled, 2-ply twist fingering-weight blend of superwash merino and nylon. Merino wool is known for its softness, shine and breathability. It ranges in different types, measured by microns which are used to determine the diameter of the wool fiber. The smaller the number, the finer the fiber. Merino is a durable and naturally insulating fiber.  This merino is superwash which keeps the fibers from felting and takes dye easily creating saturated, vibrant colors. We enjoy creating new colors on this base first! The addition of nylon gives the superwash merino more elasticity and durability, making it a great option for socks. It also a favorite for shawls and colorwork sweaters.
