MARONA - Cormo Wool - DK weight
MARONA is our 3 ply DK-weight yarn in 100% Cormo Wool Cormo wool is a long, stapled, high yielding fine-wool fleece. The wool ranges from 18-23 microns in diameter. Cormo has a high degree of fiber uniformity with a staple length ranging between 2 1/2 - 4 inches. The softness and luster create a soft and springy yarn. The American Cormo sheep breed was first imported to the United States in 1976. Originally from Tasmania in Australia, they are a mix of Superfine Saxon Merino, Lincoln and Australian Merino. The breed is medium-sized. They are mainly white in coloration and have open faces. Both rams and ewes are usually polled (no horns!)
