Perennial Lupine produces flower spikes from mid-May to mid-June. Flowers are mostly blue, but sometimes pink or white ones are present. Found in the eastern U.S., wild populations have declined due to habitat destruction and fire suppression. Perennial Lupine is a legume that can fix nitrogen into the soil. Use in beds & borders, for meadow gardening and in pollinator conservation mixes. Plants and seeds are poisonous to livestock.
