This matcha bowl has a matte finish with a glazed lip, semi-rough texture inside and out, and good wall-thickness, making for a very earthy bowl at a very affordable price!  Having a nice matcha bowl is critical to preparing matcha well - the flat bottom and high sides enable vigorous whisking without fear of splashing or damaging the whisk.
