Kayak Instruction

We offer several kayak instruction packages. The 1-hr instructional session is ideal for beginners or a refresher The 2-hr instructional session is ideal for intermediate and/or a more advanced refresher The basic 1-hr package provides basic instructions for beginners on-land, with entering the kayak, proper body position, paddle handling and strokes, and more. On-water instruction includes maneuvering and paddling. Additional advance topics can include tips on how to read the river, safely exiting in a spill, and more. The class ends with a guided paddle tour offering individual help as needed. The class fee includes a kayak, paddles, PFDs, transport, and instruction.
