Intro to Pottery Throwing - 1/30

Ready to get your hands dirty and your spirits high? Join us for "Sip & Spin," a one-day introduction to pottery throwing that's all about the joy of the experience and trying your hand(s) at a new skill. Perfect for absolute beginners, those with experience, or anyone looking to unwind creatively, this class will have you laughing and learning as you explore the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. In our relaxed and welcoming studio, you’ll learn how to center clay on the wheel, open up your piece, and pull up the walls. You will have a ½ lbs practice ball of clay, and two 1 lbs balls to attempt to make your piece. Fair warning - throwing is a creative and artistic process. Some may make a bowl or vase, but many will opt for a spoon rest or plate for their first throwing. Our friendly instructors will guide you through each step, making sure you have a blast along the way, even if you only end up with muddy hands and good memories.
