Knitting - beginners course

Would you like to make a lap shrug? It's basically a miniature blanket. Just enough to keep your lap warm. Or make it as big as you want!  In this workshop we are going to learn the basics of knitting. Two straight needles and some yarn. How to cast on. Learn garter, purl and and cast off. Each student will be supplied with a basic set of knitting needles and some yarn to make the shrug.  This class assumes the participant has no or very little knowledge of knitting but the class can be scaled for experienced knitters as well.  This is a 2 hour class with drop in clinic help available after the workshop.  Come have some fun and meet others fellow knitters.  The studio will supply the needles and yarn. All you bring is you!
