Description Zio Qwiic Soil Moisture Sensor I2C version of a soil moisture sensor that facilitates the creation of an automated watering system The Zio Qwiic Soil Moisture Sensor is a one of its kind I2C version sensor that helps you build an automated watering system quickly and easily. Simply place the exposed pads (probes) of the sensor into the soil, and it will tell you the plants moisture rate, ranging from 0 to 1023 (0 meaning completely moist, 1023 meaning completely dry). You just need to determine the desired rate at which to water and how much water to give the plant. We have provided a demo code for your reference. The module incorporates an ATtiny85 MCU as the I2C gateway, which handles all the technical details for you. The default I2C address is 0x28, which can be changed if necessary.
