Description SparkFun 6dof IMU Breakout - LSM6DSV16X (Qwiic) Features high-performance, low-power 6-axis IMU Equipped with a 3-axis digital accelerometer and gyroscope Utilizes triple core for UI, EIS, and OIS data processing Includes advanced features for motion tracking and contextual awareness Embedded with Qvar for user interface functions The SparkFun 6dof IMU Breakout - LSM6DSV16X (Qwiic) is a high-performance, low-power 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). It is equipped with a 3-axis digital accelerometer and a 3-axis digital gyroscope. The device utilizes a triple core to process acceleration and angular rate data on three separate channels, namely user interface, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). Each channel has its own dedicated configuration, processing, and filtering. The device is designed in a standard 1 x 1 inch Qwiic form factor, allowing for seamless integration into Qwiic-based projects. The triple core facilitates processes in edge computing, utilizing embedded advanced dedicated features. These features include a finite state machine (FSM) for configurable motion tracking and a machine learning core (MLC) for contextual awareness. The device is capable of exporting AI features for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Additionally, the device is equipped with Qvar, a feature that detects variations in electric charge. This feature is used for user interface functions such as tap, double tap, triple tap, long press, or left/right/left swipe. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System, of which this device is a part, is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping more efficient and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, which reduces the amount of required PCB space. The polarized connections ensure correct hook-up.
