The soil moisture sensor is pretty straightforward to use. There are two large exposed pads that function as probes for the sensor, acting as a variable resistor. If there is more water in the soil, it means there will be a better conductivity between the pads, resulting in a lower resistance and a higher SIG out. This version includes a 3-pin screw terminal pre-soldered to the board for easy wiring and setup.
