It's a color variant of the standard Threadfin Acara, and is characterized by its unique appearance due to a lack of melanins, the brown and black pigments that give other fish their color Behavior: Generally peaceful, but can become territorial during breeding. Tank mates: Can be kept in groups with other peaceful fish that are too large to be prey. Avoid dwarf shrimp and other small invertebrates, but snails may be suitable in a large enough aquarium Tank setup: Provide a sandy substrate and lots of hiding places, such as driftwood, clay pots, and rock formations.
