Elizabeth Hobbie

Brilliant red wavy blossoms with a subtle pattern on the upper dorsal stand out against the dark green rounded leaves of Elizabeth Hobbie. This rhododendron has a somewhat lax truss, but is generally a dense grower with a compact growth habit. Blooms generally start showing around April depending on growing conditions.  Elizabeth Hobbie should be placed in full sun to partial shade, and requires well-draining soil. It is a dwarf hybrid that will get to about 3' tall at maturity. Hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill.
