Anything longer will stick out, but the holster is designed so it won't catch your sights when you draw the gun. Order 4-6 inches larger than your pants size as the gun belt has 5 holes all an inch apart. Example if you wear a size 36 pants then order a size 40 or a size 42 gun belt. The size 40 gun belt will have holes punched from 38-42 inches.
