Oh What a Terrible Web We Weave, When the Value of Violence Is What We Believe! or Give Peace a Chance

An integrated, interdisciplinary ninth grade literature unit on violence and its effects upon character. Our society is becoming more and more violent. Learning how others have responded in a variety of dangerous situations will give students the tools to seek nonviolent responses. Students will develop an understanding of how violence changes individuals and societies. The interdisciplinary/integrated unit will lead them to comprehend the relationship between behavior and character.
