An 8th Grade Integrated, Interdisciplinary Study Of The U.S. Constitution: Past, Present, and Future. This unit was developed to introduce eight grade students to the Constitution of the United States. The following concepts will be taught: l) The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. It delineates and safeguards the right of citizens of the United States. 2) The Constitution is the blue- print for the Federal government and established the relationship between the Federal and state governments. 3) The Constitution can be changed to meet present-day needs. 4) The rights guaranteed in the Constitution should be safeguarded by an informed citizenry.
