Basic Recipe for Farro Ingredients 1 cup dry Farro  4 cups water ¼ teaspoon salt, to taste Optional : Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and 1 small clove of minced garlic Instructions 1. Rinse the farro under cool running water. 2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed farro and 4 cups of water.  Add salt. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer. 3. Cook until the farro is tender to the bite but chewy.  Farro Piccolo will take 25 to 40 minutes. Drain well. 4. Stir in the olive oil and garlic while the farro is still hot. Season to taste with salt. Serve as desired. Farro can be added to soups or salads.
